Our story

Two California friends, one Kansas storefront.

Tallgrass & Wildflowers began with Nicole and Darla, two friends from California who found a new chapter in the heart of Kansas, and a shared love of unique fashion, beautiful accessories and a little Boho Western flair.

It started as a vendor booth at Arkalala, where customers kept asking the same question: “Do you ladies have a store?” So when a 100-year-old building with mid-century character came up in downtown Arkansas City, they took a leap of faith and made it home.

A little California style, a little Kansas charm, and a whole lot of heart. Come in and stay a while.
